Biography

Lupe

Sergio Sanz-Rodríguez received the degree in Technical Telecommunication Engineering in 2001, the M.S. degree in Telecommunication Engineering in 2005, both from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain, and the Ph.D degree in Multimedia and Communications in 2011 from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain. From 2005 to 2012, Sergio was a Teaching Assistant at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. In January 2013 he joined the Image Communication Group at Technische Universität Berlin (TUB), Germany, and collaborated with the Multimedia Communications Group at Fraunhofer HHI. Since July 2014 he is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Embedded Systems Architecture (AES) group of TUB.

His current research interests include video processing and coding, rate control and parallel architectures for real-time video compression. His active research in these areas has resulted in several papers in international conferences and prestigious journals.
