In Janurary 2016 a new EU-funded research project called LPGPU2 has been started and the AES group at TU Berlin participate. We are looking for bright students, interested in pursuing a PhD and performing cutting edge research on low power GPUs and related software together with our European partners. In LPGPU2 we are looking into innovative ways to optimize the power consumpting of low power mobile GPUs and the software that uses these GPUs.
Working field: Low Power GPU architecture, power estimation, software development tools
Requirements: As a successful candidate you should hold a university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in Computer Engineering or a related field and should be highly interested in research and motivated to pursue a PhD. Strong programming skills are required (C++). Candidates should be interested in GPU architecture and low power design. Experience with GPU APIs such as CUDA, OpenCL, OpenGL or Vulkan is desirable but not required. AES is an international group and a good command of both spoken and written English is required.
